Be Prepared For Violence In Public Spaces

It happens–violence in public spaces and being prepared could save lives if it happens in your workplace.

The public is invited to come learn from professionals about how to prepare you and your staff for safety.

Hear from experts from the Houghton County Police Department, Michigan State Police, and Houghton County Multi-Jurisdictional Active Shooter Training Instructors, as well as mental health expert Brian Rendel, who will talk on how to spot early signs of potential violence as well as what to do in worst case scenarios.

The event is being hosted by the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce and the Portage Health Foundation at the Bonfire Grill Banquet Room on Tuesday, May 1st at 8am.

Attendance is free and breakfast will be provided but you must register by April 22nd.
