Baraga County Spring Fling Returns for Family Fun

Spring Fling returns for the 7th year in Baraga County on Saturday.

Families are invited to the KBIC Niiwin Akeaa Center from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to participate in a family fun day. The carnival like atmosphere will feature a teddy bear clinic, Strider bike course, giveaways and more.

“I am so excited about Spring Fling,” said Iola Brubaker, Copper Country Great Start Collaborative Director. “Each year, this event is a fun opportunity for us to celebrate so many great things Baraga County has to offer young families.”

This free event is open to all community members, but activities and information will focus on families with young children. Several community organizations will be on hand to provide information about their programs as well as host child friendly activities.

Baraga County Spring Fling is hosted by the Copper Country Great Start Collaborative and Parent Coalition and sponsored by the Portage Health Foundation and the Baraga County Community Foundation. The collaborative and parent coalition work on improving early childhood outcomes in Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties.
