Baraga County Mourns Student Deaths

 

Tragedy has struck Baraga County. Yesterday afternoon, approximately 4:15pm, Baraga County Sheriff’s responded to a call of a car stranded on Silver Road, in L’Anse Township. When they arrived, deputies found a vehicle running, with two deceased male occupants. The lone female was still alive, and life saving procedures were started. The female passenger, 17 year old Hunter P(eelon) of baraga,  was transported to Baraga Community Hospital, but was later transferred to a hospital in Green Bay. No further updates on Pelon’s condition, other than she made it through the night. The deceased were identified as 17 Year old Dylan Roberts of L’Anse and and 17 year old Christopher Turpeinen of Pelkie. Counselors are at the school, for staff and students. The case remains under investigation.
