One man is dead after an accident involving a tractor in Covington Township.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post responded to the accident around 3:20 Monday afternoon.
Authorities say 84-year-old Thomas Disney had fallen off his tractor and was trapped beneath the machine.
A family member was first on scene and called 911.
Disney was reportedly using the tractor to try and pull a stuck vehicle on his property when he fell off. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Baraga County Sherriff’s Department, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Bay EMS, Covington EMS, Covington First Responders, L’Anse Fire Department, and Covington Fire and Rescue.
