The Baraga County Fair begins today at the fairgrounds in Pelkie.
Food and merchandise vendors will open at 4 this afternoon, and a bounce house for kids will be available beginning at 5.
The queen pageant starts at 5:30. Five candidates are vying for the crown, including Ireland Chosa, Kiera Dakota, Morgan Fish, Adyson Moulden, Allyson VanAlstine, and Annabelle Whiting. Allyson VanAlstine, Ivory Whiting and Aaliyah Maki are candidates for the Junior Miss title.
Registration for tonight’s Country Mudder opens at 4, and the event starts at 6. The Mud Bog takes place tomorrow, with the Off Road Derby on Sunday.
