Baraga County Election Results Recap

In Baraga County, Shelley Loyd and Pete Magaraggia both hold onto to their L’Anse Township trustee positions with Dan Grandy’s challenge falling short.

It was the only contested race for the primary in the county.

Loyd received 212 votes, Magaraggia 242 and Grandy 66.

All of the ballot proposals in the county passed, including funding for road maintenance and improvements, senior citizens’ programs, Baraga Schools, Ambulance Service in Arvon Township, Fire Protection and Ambulance Service in Baraga Township and Fire Protection and Emergency Management in Spurr Township.

There were no millage proposals in L’Anse or Covington Townships.
