The Baraga County Commission opened its monthly meeting on Tuesday with a moment of silence for longtime road commissioner Roy Koski. Koski passed away October 1st, at age 90. His 39 years on the Baraga Road Commission stands as one of the longest terms of service in state history.
At a brief meeting, commissioners approved this year’s millage rates and apportionment report.
The board also approved a 60-day unpaid leave of absence for an employee dealing with a medical issue.
