Aspirus Welcomes Back Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Pherson

pherson-kenneth-doLAURIUM – Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Clinics is pleased to welcome back Kenneth Pherson, DO, to its excellent orthopedics team. Dr. Pherson joins orthopedic surgeons Frederick Rau, MD, and Mark Kelley, MD, FACS, at Aspirus Laurium Clinic.

Dr. Pherson specializes in general orthopedics, including total and partial knee and hip replacement; arthroscopy; orthopedic emergencies; fractures; carpal tunnel, hand/finger tendon repair; and medical, surgical, physical and occupational therapy solutions. He has advanced expertise in revolutionary surgical techniques, including Oxford Partial Knee replacement procedures.

Dr. Pherson earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He originally came to Aspirus in June of 2010, serving as an orthopedic surgeon here until October of 2013.

In December, Dr. Pherson returned to Aspirus after practicing in Indiana for the past few years. Dr. Pherson is thrilled to be back in the Keweenaw with his family, colleagues and friends. He looks forward to providing patients of all ages with the highest levels of orthopedic care close to home.

Dr. Pherson begins seeing patients in Laurium in early January. He’s also seeing patients at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital in Ontonagon and Aspirus Iron River Hospital in Iron River.
