UPPER PENINSULA, Mich. – Aspirus has hired Andy Costic as the Vice President – Regional Finance.
Costic is a master’s-prepared health care executive and brings more than 19 years of experience in finance, operations, revenue cycle and informational technology to Aspirus. Most recently, Costic served as Regional Chief Financial Officer with Abraham Lincoln Memorial and Taylorville Memorial hospitals in Springfield, Illinois.
As Regional CFO, Costic was responsible for the financial operations of a $108 million budget. He led the turnaround of a hospital from a 4.4 percent operating loss to a 14.1 operating gain. Among his many major career accomplishments, Costic provided project leadership for the construction of a $50 million, 100,000-square-foot hospital in Lincoln, Illinois.

Costic earned his Master of Health Administration degree from State University of New York and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. Professional affiliations include the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Costic is happy to be a part of the Aspirus family, developing relationships across the U.P. and throughout the system. He is based at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
