Aspirus Eye Clinic relocation offers greater access to multiple services under one roof

The following press release was issued by Aspirus Kewenaw:

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Aspirus Eye Clinic is pleased to announce that on Thursday, February 21, the clinic will begin moving from its current location on Sharon Avenue in Houghton to the Aspirus Houghton Clinic near Walmart and Country Inn & Suites. The relocation to the newly renovated space will be complete and Ophthalmologist Dr. Shalini Johnson will begin seeing patients on Monday, February 25.

Moving to the Aspirus Houghton Clinic offers several key benefits for patients, including:

  • Greater access to additional services in one location.
  • Improved continuity of care.
  • Full-service pharmacy for convenient prescription pickup.
  • Public transit service available Monday through Friday.

Aspirus Houghton Clinic Manager Joni Erkkila said the relocation improves access for patients and allows for expanded services under one roof.

“This is an excellent example of how Aspirus is embracing continuous improvement to provide excellent, compassionate care to the communities that depend on us,” she said. “Our entire team is focused on making this transition as seamless as possible for our patients.”

Dr. Johnson has been with Aspirus since 2014.
