Ambulance Damaged After Hitting Deer

An ambulance was damaged after hitting a deer early Wednesday morning.

The Ontonagon Sheriff’s Office says SONCO South EMT James Hicks was driving the ambulance south on US-45 around 12:30am.

About 500 feet north of Three Mile Road, a deer ran directly out in front of the ambulance and was struck.

The collision caused significant damage to the front bumper and grill of the ambulance.

Hicks was not injured.
