An 18-year-old Ahmeek woman was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night just north of South Range.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was traveling north on M-26 just after 9:00 p.m., when she lost control of her vehicle.
She reportedly spun sideways into the southbound lane and struck another vehicle.
The woman was transported to UP Health System – Portage for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 26-year-old Hancock woman, who refused medical treatment.
Adams Township Fire and First Responders, Mercy Ambulance, MDOT, Superior Service Towing and Big-T’s Towing all assisted at the scene.
