Adoba Out–Keweenaw Mountain Lodge Looking For Another Buyer

Adoba Industries will not be purchasing the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.

The company withdrew from consideration and appear to be no longer interested in the historic property.

The Keweenaw County Board of Commissioners had chosen to move ahead with Adoba after another company, Anthony Lane Partners, LLC, had pulled their intent to purchase when it was discovered there was a historical easement on the lodge.

The County Board is again seeking offers for the lodge, listed at $1.5 million.

However, going forward, the board will require certain terms from interested buyers.

Those terms include a $50,000 good faith deposit plus 60 days for due diligence review.

The deposit will become non-refundable after the due diligence review.

The interested party will have 30 days to close after the due diligence period expires.

A form purchase agreement will be presented to interested parties to use when presenting offers to the county.
