One man is facing a drunk driving charge after an auto accident early Sunday morning.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident on Canal Road around 3:30am.
The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
He was later taken by Mercy Ambulance to UP Health System—Portage for treatment.
Authorities say speed was also a factor in the accident.
No further details were released.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mercy Ambulance, Stanton Township first responders and fire, and Superior Service.
