Houghton, MI Skatepark is closing in on their fundraising goal for Phase 2 of their project to build a public skatepark at Houghton’s East Waterfront Park.
They will be holding their 3rd annual art auction at the Keweenaw Brewing Company on Thursday, May 17th.
Skateboard decks provided by Quincy Woodwrights and decorated by local artists will be auctioned off.
The group says last year’s art auction helped them pass their phase one funding goal.
They are currently inches away from their $200,000 phase two goal, which would allow them to construct both phases in one shot this summer.
