31 Backpacks Prepares Christmas Distribution

31 Backpacks is preparing for its annual Christmas effort to provide meals for kids over the holidays, and the organization is looking for help with the effort.

Three truckloads of food are scheduled to arrive this afternoon at 2:00 at Good Tidings Church in Hancock. Volunteers are needed to help unload the food.

Sunday afternoon at 1:30, volunteers are needed to set up for the annual Big Pack.

The Pack itself will take place Monday evening at 6:00. Volunteers will help fill the packs that will be handed out through local schools.

Last year, nearly 200 were given to kids whom school officials identified as being at risk of not having enough to eat at home over the Christmas break. For more details, visit their Facebook page.
