Gasoline prices fell a bit during the first week of 2020.
AAA Michigan’s survey place the cost of a gallon of unleaded regular at $2.45 in the Marquette metro area. That’s six cents cheaper than a week ago, nine cents cheaper than a month ago, 32 cents higher than a year ago, and seven cents below the statewide average.
Keweenaw County is the highest in the state, at $2.92. Houghton County is at $2.54, Baraga County at $2.50, and Ontonagon County at $2.63.
