Local Gift Shop Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony For New Location

A popular gift shop is now open in their new location in Houghton.

Keweenaw Gem and Gift closed up their old location after 30 years and moved down the street to a brand new building on Razorback Drive.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to invite the public to take a look at the new store.

Keweenaw Gem and Gift Co-Owner Ken Flood says the new location means a better experience for their customers.

Several community leaders came out to the ceremony in support of one of the favorite local businesses.

The store specializes in unique minerals, jewelry and items that celebrate the Keweenaw area.
