LifePoint Hospitals in the Upper Peninsula have a new Regional Chief Financial Officer.
Former CFO at Marquette General Hospital Steve Embree will now oversee financial operations for Bell Hospital, Marquette General Health System and Portage Health, according to a statement released by U.P. Lifepoint Hospitals Market President Jim Bogan.
Bogan says Embree has over 25 years of experience as a CFO in the healthcare setting and his expertise in the areas of healthcare and finances will certainly be a valuable asset as they move forward as a system.
Embree is a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Embree said he is looking forward to providing financial leadership to drive the growth of the hospitals across the Upper Peninsula and expand access to healthcare in local communities.
