Legislature Sends Powdered Alochol Ban to Gov

Michigan is a signature away from becoming the latest state to ban powdered alcohol after the Michigan House passed a bill banning the sale of it Tuesday. The measure already passed the Senate.

Lawmakers in favor of the ban say the product is being marketed to kids and looks like Kool Aid packets.

They fear it will lead to a spike in underage drinking.

The product is billed as a powdered form of booze that easily mixes with any beverage or can be sprinkled on food.

If and when the bill is signed into law, Michigan will become the 26th state to ban selling, possessing or using powdered alcohol.
