Legionnaire's Outbreak Leads To Two More Deaths

Two more deaths have been linked to a Legionnaire’s outbreak in Genessee County.

There are now 91 cases of Legionnaire’s and 12 deaths, says Chief Medical Executive Eden Wells at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Was it caused by the switch to water from the Flint River that lead to Flint’s lead water crisis?

Wells says while the time period matches, they haven’t been able to conclude anything.

Wells says they’d need a sample from a Legionnaire’s victim to match the exact bacteria in the water and they don’t have that.
