Another Flint resident is suing state and city officials after his two-year-old daughter tested positive for high lead levels.
Luke Waid filed his complaint in federal court seeking compensation, damages and losses suffered by his daughter from toxic substances from the Flint River.
Waid wants city and state officials to pay for current and future medical costs for injuries his daughter sustained through exposure to the city’s lead-tainted water.
The lawsuit names Governor Rick Snyder, Department of Environmental Quality employees, former Flint emergency manager Darnell Earley and other city and state officials as defendants.
This is the most recent of several lawsuits filed over the Flint water crisis.
