The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run is underway. The first runner left Copper Harbor early this afternoon. Runners from police agencies will take turns around the clock until they finish the 750-mile route in suburban Detroit on Friday. Last year, Michigan’s run raised more than 11-thousand dollars to support Special Olympics. Additional activities, such as a community run scheduled for Baraga this afternoon, built that total to around a million. Donations are collected through the FirstGiving website.
