The City of Hancock is unveiling a new plaque at Laurn-Grove Park today.
The new plaque talks about Alvin E. Laurn and Robert C. Grove and their service and sacrifice to our country.
The new plaque will hopefully serve as a reminder to all that the park is named for two American heroes, representatives of the Greatest Generation.
The ceremony will include several speakers, including Mayor Lisa McKenzie, and City Manager Glenn Anderson.
Brief biographies of Alvin Laurn and Robert Grove including their military service will be given.
The event begins at noon and the public is invited.
