A Calumet man who is accused of stealing a car from a dealership while out on bond is back in custody.
Deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office say 36 year old Isaac Laplander was taken into custody by NMU Public Safety on Saturday at UP Health System – Marquette.
He was transported to the Houghton County Jail Sunday.
While out on bond for breaking and entering and safe breaking charges stemming from an incident at Harter’s Auto Parts in Calumet on April 23rd, Laplander allegedly stole a sports car from Kissell Chevrolet in Calumet on April 30th, and then used the car in a robbery attempt in Hurley, Wisconsin before stealing another vehicle in Taylor County, Wisconsin.
Laplander is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
