In a brief meeting last evening, the L’Anse Village Council approved the initial payments to contractors for the recent L’Anse Avenue and Baraga Avenue paving projects. Village manager Bob LaFave reported that the jobs are basically complete. The cost for the two projects came to within about a thousand dollars of the initial bids. The council also voted to extend the franchise agreement for Charter cable television for 10 years.
