200 L’Anse High School students spent Tuesday afternoon thinking and talking about their futures. The annual career fair brought dozens of employers and educators to the school gym to discuss career opportunities. Representative Scott Dianda was there, promoting careers in government. “The Michigan State Police is here, the DNR is here,” Dianda said, “and it’s wonderful to see the branches of the military. There’s such a great career path for all our young people.” Dianda thinks the job fair idea should be replicated in schools across the U-P. “There are a lot of businesses in our back yard that our young people are realizing are there. It’s a career path for them to be able to stay here.” The fourth annual career fair was open to all the students at L’Anse High School.
