L’Anse DDA Offering Help

For the eighth straight year, some property owners in L’Anse will have the opportunity to get some financial help to improve the appearance of their buildings. The L’Anse Downtown Development Authority is accepting applications for its Facade Grant Program. Five grants are available… each worth as much as three-thousand dollars. The money does not need to be matched by the recipients… and does not need to be paid back. Over the past seven years, 33 grants have been awarded. The money has been used for paint, siding, window replacement, masonry work and other forms of remodeling. To be eligible, the property must be located within the boundaries of the Downtown Development Authority. Applications are available at the L’Anse Village Office… and must be submitted by June 6th.
