Kindergarten Round-Up in Hancock

Many kids in the Copper Country are preparing to go back to school in the next few weeks, including Barkell Elementary in Hancock which just wrapped up their Kindergarten Round-Up yesterday. The assembly is designed for those starting kindergarten and Young-Fives to get acclimated to their new teachers and classrooms. Barkell Principal Howard Parmentier says it’s an important part of the tranistion to kindergarten classes.

Students had an opportunity to meet with their teachers and parents were informed of certain school procedures such as calling in absent and picking up their children early.
