Keweenaw Wild Bird R.E.C. Opens the Spring Native Plant Sale

Now that the snow has left the area, it’s time to get the garden beds ready for planting this spring. Before a trowel can hit dirt though any gardener will want to make sure they have plants ready to go.

The Keweenaw Wild Bird REC will begin accepting orders for the group’s spring plant sale. The proceeds raised during the sale will help support the Wild Bird REC’s mission to house and rehabilitate wildlife before reintroducing them back into the wild. This year Keweenaw Wild Bird has partnered with Design by Nature from Marquette to fulfill orders. The native plant producer will deliver orders for pick-up on June 1st. Order forms for the KeweenawWIld Bird REC Spring Plant Sale are due by May 20th.

Every individual order over 25 dollars will even have a chance to win a special hummingbird garden kit as a part of the plant sale.
