Keweenaw Premiere Golf Outing Postponed to Next Week

Unfortunately due to incoming storms, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce will postpone it’s golf fundraiser tomorrow. The Chamber’s premiere golf outing, which helps raise funds for the chamber’s many activities throughout the region during the year, has a full group of participating teams. And plenty of sponsors who were expecting a fun fill day out on the course.

Weather reporting services are anticipating severe thunderstorms for the Keweenaw Peninsula, starting around 8 pm this evening. With rainfall predictions well over an inch between tonight and tomorrow. Due to the anticipated rainfall, and potential for poor course conditions, the Portage Lake Golf Course course management has asked the Chamber of Commerce to postpone its event.

The New date for the Keweenaw Premiere Golf Outing will take place Wednesday, September 13th. The event will also start a little later that day, at 10 am. Check in for the event will begin at 9:30 am.

Please contact the Keweenaw Chamber of commerce with any questions or concerns.
