Keweenaw Health Foundation Donates $25,000 to CLK Schools Childcare to Expand Services

The Keweenaw Health Foundation commits a donation to address the childcare shortage crisis in the Copper Country. Yesterday the Keweenaw Health Foundation announced it will commit a 25,000 dollar donation to CLK Schools Childcare to support services provided to the community. The donation will aid CLK Schools Childcare with expanding services, including increasing the number of children and families served, extending operation hours, and support recruitment of childcare professionals. Keweenaw Health Foundation recognizes the role childcare plays in providing relief to families and its place within communities to allow parents flexibility in time spent working. Executive Director for the foundation Jenn Janich Laplander says that the foundation’s staff, and on a personal level, understands the need for quality childcare in the community to alleviate stress on families.
