Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College Partners with the CCISD for Michigan’s Post Secondary Credit Agreements

The Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College will partner with the Copper Country ISD for the Michigan Statewide Post Secondary Credit agreements. The KBOCC announced yesterday that the college has partnered with the CCISD’s CTE program to begin accepting post-secondary credits from students across the state. The agreements are designed to reduce the number of duplicate credits students earn from high school to college. KBOCC offers approved agreements in business and entrepreneurship, Certified Nursing Assistants, and welding/manufacturing. Dean of Academic Affairs Megan Haataja says the formalized agreements with the state of Michigan extend opportunities to students beyond Baraga and Houghton counties and expressed gratitude for the CCISD’s partnership for the post-secondary credit agreements.
