Keep Our Republic Safe and Michiganders for Civic Resilience will host two Upper Peninsula sessions with the community tomorrow to talk about election integrity. Both non-partisan groups have organized opportunities for residents to gain a deeper understanding of the election process and what happens to after each voter casts their ballot. The sessions are a part of a larger program, the Northern Michigan Community Conversation Tour. Former house democrat Christine Grieg and former republican senator and house representative Tonya Schuitmaker with Keweenaw Our Republic and members of Michiganders for Civic Resilience will lead the conversations with the community in Marquette and Escanaba tomorrow. The event will also include time to speak with Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons. The Marquette conversation with Keep our republic and Michiganders for civic resilience will begin at noon at the Marquette Township Hall. Escanaba’s event will start at 5:30 pm at the Ludington Park Pavilion. Both events will last about an hour and half.
