Republican presidential hopeful John Kasich, during a town hall at Michigan State University, he’s in the race for the win.
The Ohio governor went as far as saying a vice-presidential bid is out of the question.
During his town hall at MSU, Kasich hit on student-geared topics such as college affordability, campus drug use and issues impacting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students.
He hit in similar topics during a town hall at Grand Valley State University.
The two university stops were part of a four stop, two day swing through Michigan. Kasich also spoke to party faithful in metro-Detroit Monday night and will hold a final town hall today (Tuesday) in Livonia.
Kasich says Michigan will be a key state for him and he’ll be spending more time in the state the closer it gets to the March 8th presidential primary.
