Junior Team Annie Helps Move the Statue Fundraiser Closer to the $150,000 Goal

Last week’s visitors to the Lake Linden Fourth of July Parade may have spotted an iconic figure walking along the route. Big Annie. Or at least Junior Team Annie, and the eight high school students that recently formed to assist Team Annie with fundraising efforts for the Annie Clemenc Statue. The students will learn valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and community organizing.

Students from Junior Team Annie have also participated in the Bridgfest Parade, helped with the Big Annie Gala last month, and during the Fourth of July. Team Annie organizers are very proud of the student’s work in organizing the group’s Fourth of July march which also included Jerry Primeau’s vintage Calumet and Hecla Mining Company ambulance. With efforts during the national holiday, the junior team helped the statue fund take a step closer to the 150,000 dollar goal.
