It’s the movie that has escalated the already-high tensions between the United States and North Korea and now you can see it. “The Interview” starring Seth Rogan and James Franco was shown at select theaters yesterday and one of those was Cloverland Cinemas in Ironwood. It’s one of a handful of theaters in Michigan that decided to show the movie, which depicts the attempted assassination of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. Cloverland Assistant Manger Abbi Lundgren says when they heard Sony would be releasing the movie after deciding not to due to threats from North Korea, they wanted to screen it for the community as well.
She adds that they sold out last night’s showing fairly quickly and the film will remain at the theater for at least two weeks. For showtimes, click here.
