You may experience a delay this week trying to cross the Portage Lake Lift Bridge.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says there will be intermittent nighttime closures of the bridge through Friday.
MDOT will be testing new bridge components which require a series of lifts.
Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes between 7 and 11pm and delays of up to 30 minutes between 11pm and 4am.
The lower bridge deck will be closed to snowmobile traffic during these closures as well.
The $8.4 million project started in mid-December 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in mid-April.
