CAUGHT–Escaped inmate is now in custody.

UPDATE:

The escaped inmate is now in custody.  Revoir was seen in the Painesdale area and a tip was called into 911 with his direction of travel.  He was captured within minutes of the call without incident.

We have an update on the search for an inmate who walked away from a work camp in Houghton County this morning.

35-year-old Mark Revoir has been seen in the village of South Range at about 11:30 this morning. He was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a sweatshirt around his waist.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department is looking for an inmate who walked away from a minimum security work crew this morning.

35-year-old Mark Daniel Revoir was on a crew that was cleaning at the Houghton RV Park when he walked away around 9:40am.

Revoir is described as a white male, 6’ 2” with long brownish hair with the side of his head shaved and a ruddy complexion.

He was wearing a brown jacket and possible black hoodie and a Maple Leafs hat.

Revoir is currently incarcerated for the crime of retail fraud.
