Inaugural Keweenaw Color Run Sunday

The local pride group, Keweenaw Pride, in conjunction with many other student organizations and local businesses will be hosting the 1st annual Keweenaw Color Run this Sunday.

The run, which is to have almost 600 participants, is meant to bring students and community members from different backgrounds and cultures together for hours of entertainment and fitness.

Once registered, participants will receive a free T-shirt at the beginning of the event in front of the Memorial Union Building on the Michigan Tech Campus.

Participants have the option to partake in either a 2.5k or 5k filled with more color powder than you can handle. The run will commence post race food and music.

All proceeds will be donated to the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter in Houghton.

If you are interested in running the race, go to www.keweenawcolor.eventbrite.com to register.
