State Senator Tom Casperson says the voters sent a strong signal.

Bernie Sanders was the state’s choice in the Democratic Primary and Donald Trump won the Republican Primary.

CASPERSONAn Escanaba Republican, Casperson is also running for U.S. Congress this year.

So, if both were to find themselves in Washington next year, would Casperson be able to work with a President Trump?

Trump is leading the delegate count for the GOP while Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton maintains her lead over Sanders.
