House Passes DPS Restructuring Bills

The Michigan House has passed a package of bills to restructure the Detroit Public School District with a $500 million plan.

Many, like former DPS teacher Sherri Gay-Dagnogo urged a no vote because it doesn’t return local control.

Republican Representative Al Pscholka said they shouldn’t let the district go into bankruptcy.
