House Fire In Mass City

A family is safe after their house caught fire in Mass City.

The fire was reported around 3:45 Wednesday morning.

The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office says the house sustained considerable damage.

All occupants of the home were able to get out of the home safely.

Authorities believe the fire may have started at the chimney.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were the Greenland Township Fire Department, Sonco Ambulance personnel and the Ontonagon County Victim Services unit who assisted the family.
