House Fire In Franklin Township

A house fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Franklin Township.

Fire crews were called out to the house on Fourth Street just northeast of the city of Hancock.

The fire was reported about noon and crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control.

The occupants were able to make it out of the house and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remain under investigation.

Quincy-Franklin-Hancock Township Fire Department along with the Hancock City Fire Department responded to the scene.

Fire crews were assisted by the Michigan State Police Calumet Post, the Houghton Sheriff’s Department Mercy Ambulance and UPPCO.
