The Michigan House is expected to release its full report today looking into allegations of misconduct and misuse of taxpayer resources by two lawmakers.
State Representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat had an affair.
An internal investigation was launched three weeks ago to find out if they used taxpayer resources to cover it up.
A preliminary report released a week ago found misconduct and misuse of taxpayer resources by both however that report didn’t elaborate on the findings.
Gideon D’Assandro, spokesperson for House Speaker Kevin Cotter, remains mum on what kind of disciplinary action Courser and Gamrat could face once the report is released.
He says a special committee could be formed to investigate the allegations further but says the speaker wouldn’t commit to doing so before the report is released.
D’Assandro says that committee could be assembled quickly if the need arises.
