The Michigan House could vote as soon as today on a package of bills designed to cobble together $1.5 billion to fund road repairs in the state.
The chamber positioned the bills for a vote Tuesday.
The Republican led chamber also dismissed a number of amendments offered by Democrats.
Those amendments ranged from tying the elimination of a tax credit for low income, working families to an income tax structure change to forcing heavy vehicles – like SUV’s – to pay higher registration fees.
