The 8th grade Eco-Challenge Team at Houghton Middle School learned today they are $10,000 richer today!
They recently learned that they have WON THE 1st ROUND of the Eco-Challenge competition which they completed in early December.
They will receive $10,000 in cash to be split between the students, Houghton Middle School, and teacher Sarah Geborkoff (for classroom supplies).
Only 8 middle school teams nation-wide won this award, so these students have a lot to be proud of! With the award comes an invitation to participate in Round 2 (which begins this month) so the students’ work now continues!
