Houghton Fire Department Looking for Upgrades

The Houghton Fire Department will be getting some important upgrades through a grant application that was discussed at last night’s Houghton City Council meeting. The first was for the purchase an industrial washing machine which City Manager Eric Waara says would be very important when cleaning their equipment.

The second was for a new aerial platform which Waara says was long overdue for an upgrade.

If either of the applications are approved, they would be sent to the council for approval.
