Late Sunday afternoon, a teenager was reported missing from a house on Toivola Road just south of Freda. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department responded to help find the 16-year-old girl last seen running into the woods near her home following an argument with a family member.
It took a little over three hours to locate her. She is safe. Deputies were engaged in the search from 4:20 PM to just before 7:30.
