Houghton Child Sex Case Suspect Arrested in Colorado

A Houghton man wanted on three counts, including possession of child sexually abusive material, has been arrested in Colorado. A press release from the Houghton Police Department says that a Governor’s Warrant is being sought through the Houghton County Prosecutor’s Office to facilitate extradition of the suspect back to the Copper Country. Houghton officials have declined to release the man’s name, and say no further information will be provided until he is returned and arraigned in 97th District Court. No date for that arraignment has been established.
